Postcard and Flyer Design Basics
- For Optimal Results We Recommend Using Full Color Designs For Your Company
- Single Sided or Double Sided Design Is Based On Preference
- Glossy or Matte (glossy is standard)
- Quality Card Stock (14pt C2S is typically used)
Postcards and Flyers are typically on-demand design/print jobs and are another low-cost, highly effective direct marketing tool. These are typically short-run jobs of less than 10,000 units. This allows for smaller quantities with little to no waste. Some features are 4/4 color processing (CMYK Front and Back), and can be done with offset printing or digital printing. Available on a variety of paper stocks from coated, uncoated, textured, smooth and specialty (all up to 14pt cardstock).
Standard Design Specs
If you or your staff are designing your marketing piece, we recommend that your color mode is CMYK and that your resolution is at least 300 DPI. The design shoud include a .125 bleed (margin) around the border. The overall size becomes .25 inches by .25 inches larger than the final trim size (typically 4" x 6")
